Hi, My name is Felice Tanya Vaiani, I am a 21 year old woman. I live in Australia. Some of you know me from the Net. I have Cerebral Palsy and use a power chair to assist in my mobility. This article was sent to many lists, including my sexydisgal@onelist.com list, of which I am founder/co-owner. If you haven't done so already, please read the article below:
Article From The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and I'm sure you'll agree, all people have the right to control and monitor their own lives without a middle(person) involved. I use an agency similar to the one described in this article to "handle" my attendant care needs. The care is satisfactory, but many of my carers are underpaid and the paging system is shocking! I and many others deserve the chance to take care of ourselves. If we are under 18, then our parents/guardians should have that right. Alternatively, we should work with a fair and equitable agency of our choice, not the Government's. I will be putting up a petition that demands for this to happen globally by the Year 2010, and in each city and town progressively up until then.
